Well said, Mr. Kebreau!

More at www.stolenhistory.org, and out on YouTube.

It's baaaaaack....

The major work of art by Andres Serrano (in his mind, anyway), titled Piss Christ, goes on display again in New York this week.  Christians are rioting, burning, and killing in protest.  Oh. Guess not.  Liberals have called for it's removal in order to protect the religious sensitivities of those it offends.  Oh.  Guess not.  Hypocrisy of liberals is put on display for all to see.  Oh.  Well, yeah, that one's right for sure.

Turn up the speakers...

... and enjoy one of the most incredible pieces of guitar work I've ever seen/heard:

I won't be able to see it once I post it - Adobe Flash is one of the oddbits I don't have yet due to some contrariness of the new computer.  So I hope it's really there.

Finally!

New Dell arrived yesterday.  I have my programs, except for a couple that are being cranky about loading up, and all my files back.  I also now have a plug in for an HDMI cable, and I'm thinking turning my 40 inch flat screen TV into a computer monitor is a useful idea, especially since I make a lot of maps and my eyes are getting old.

Everybody is way ahead of me with posts on the blog shoot, so mine will be brief:  it was great!  So many people on a beautiful fall day, ROs that looked to be having fun watching people have fun (not to mention setting up exploding pumpkins), a gazillion stink bugs ... oh, wait, I'm still cleaning those things out of the suv...and $1,000 to Wounded Warriors.  Not a bad day at all.

My daughter still hasn't sent me her pictures from the day - I'll post them when she does.  She came, but she didn't participate for safety reasons.

I know I posted about this last month:

Well, just before vacation they told me the wedding had been moved up to October 20.  This year.  Because:

I'm going to be a grandma!

Bang bang bang! For real!

Reminders going around - Wounded Warrior shoot here in West-by-God-Virginny on Saturday.  I'm bringing at least the Glock and the M-1, I may bring the WWII .32 for anyone who would like to try it out.  Will also be bringing my daughter - future son-in-law can't come, unfortunately.  Phooey.  He'd have a blast.  And he has the nice 1911.

Tired of It

I am so tired of people saying that violence in the Middle East is because of a flippin' badly made movie.  I mean, this thing cost $5 million to make?  Bacile should get his money back.

The reason the Middle East is in flames is because it's full of troglodytes, period.  Weasel Zippers posted a pic that to me says it all be cause it sooooo reminds me of our own brand of troglodytes:

The difference being that we didn't worry about hurting their feelings:  decent people in the U.S. crushed the KKK until it was left powerless and hiding under a rock.  If the Middle East wants the West to take it seriously, and if these troglodytes are truly anomalies, then those countries need to do the same thing we did.

And by the way, I don't notice the Christaphobes pointing out that when Christians observe a day of prayer they DO NOT end it with violence and rioting.

Still limping along ...

... with the loaner computer that I have a hate hate relationship with, which why I'm not posting or commenting much.  It takes forever to do it because the stupid cursor jumps all over the place and/or it locks up.

But I made it through my first-ever presentation yesterday with no problems.  There was a panic moment when I couldn't find a recent back-up of the presentation, but despite the fact that my real computer won't boot up the Help Desk guy was able to work magic and pull the presentation off my hard drive.

I wasn't even nervous.  I haven't figured out if I've gained self-confidence in recent years or just gotten to old to care what people think about how I do things.

Bang bang bang bang!!!!!

No, not shooting - yet. That's the sound of my head hitting the wall.  Computer is dead dead.  At least he was able to rescue the hard drive.  I'm about ready to take this one out and use it for target practice, though.  Me keeping this one is NOT the solution.  If only because I think it's on its way out, too.

Back, sort of.

...and slogging through e-mails and such.  And the computer I left behind for repair is still broken because the new motherboard was faulty out of the box but that wasn't discovered until I picked it up today.  So I have a loaner that I hate.  Until I get myself together (and my sister sends me her pictures from our vacation) this is for my fellow beer swillers, er, drinkers:
