My life is. By my presentation. You'd think I was back in college working on a final paper. Any time that doesn't have to be spent doing something else is being used to research or scribble. And erase. And then scribble some more. My books are full of little colored page markers as I sift through it all. 15 double spaced pages, and I'm projecting at least 3 more. Then I have to test the timing. My brain is melting.
Totally get this. Through in PowerPoint and my brain just explodes.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if the fact that I can't use PowerPoint for this is a plus or minus. On the one hand, pictures are entertaining and a break from verbiage. On the other hand, it makes me nervous because of needing to make the connection between laptop and video and I've had that be a problem.
DeleteSuggestion: do the research first, and find that your notes are now longer than the original material. Then ask the Lord what it all means, and His explanation will be concise and precise. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been taking it in chunks and then praying "Where do you want me to go with this?" My hat is off to preachers who do this every week and have pastoral duties on top of it.
