Go to "blogs I follow" on your dashboard, and under the list there's a button that says "manage". Scroll down the list to your own site, and click on "settings". Then at the right-hand side of the next box, click on "stop following".
That should do it. Complicated to describe, but easy to do.
Thanks, guys. I have to use computers but I'm not real good with them. Where machinery is concerned I tend to feel that there's nothing a couple whacks with a hammer won't fix and for some reason that seems to upset computer people.
