Visitor


They be loving my butterfly bushes.

    1. Never thought of that. My garden is deliberately geared to butterflies and hummingbirds - I'd hate to not have them.

  3. Have a friend who's a custom jeweler/blacksmith. His shop used to be located next to a nursery, and the staff there planted butterfly bush next to the jewelry shop window. We'd watch all the different species of butterflies/bees and the occasional hummingbird that visited whenever I visited during the warm months. His shop currently is out in a pine wood, but he has bluebird boxes set up, and we watch the antics of the bluebirds now.

    1. I planted a full sized butterfly bush several years ago and it has been spreading itself. The one in the photo is a dwarf bush that I put in front of the porch. Two bird feeders and a hummingbird feeder their, too. I spend a lot of time sitting and watching.
