We glibly talk
of nature's laws
but do things have
a natural cause?
Black earth turned into
yellow crocus
is undiluted
hocus-pocus.
(Piet Hein)
Now excuse me while I joyfully play in the dirt until I render myself so exhausted I can't move. (And I know it's not a crocus but the squirrels stole all mine...)
While there is such a thing as yellow crocus (crocus flavus in Wikipedia), those flowers in your picture are daffodils. I'd guess you probably know that, though.
ReplyDelete@Bob - Only have daffs now. Used to have crocuses but first the critters moved them and then they disappeared.
DeleteThere's a cure for squirrels, ya' know. ;)
ReplyDelete@Andy - The air rifle is busted...
DeleteEnjoy! (and thank you for reminding me there is such a thing as spring)
ReplyDelete@Rev - We may get some cold, maybe ice or snow, but for all intents and purposes Winter is done here. And Daylight Savings Time makes me a happy camper!
DeleteDafs are out here too PH!
ReplyDelete@Keads - You've had peepers for a while, too, according to my sister. I just heard the first one last night. He was struggling, but the temps this week will probably bring them out and I will have the window open to listen!
DeleteEnjoy the vitamin D :-)
ReplyDelete@NFO - I do!
