Unlike Christians, Santorum and his fellow Roman Catholics participate in a barbaric ritual dating back two millennia, a "mass" in which a black-robed cleric casts a spell over some bread and wine, transfiguring it into the actual living flesh and blood of their Christ. Followers then line up to eat the Jesus meat and drink his holy blood in a cannibalistic reverie not often seen outside Cinemax.I'm pretty sure that, satire or not, this would not have been published by HuffPo had it been about Islam. And maybe that's also a part of why it's so tiresome - the double standard.
The full article is here. Let me know what you think.
I'm not Catholic. And I thinking it's a hit piece on Santorum and the Catholics.
ReplyDeleteBut speaking from a "generic" Christian point of view, Why are you even reading this trash? These people are the enemy.
Just scanning over the page it looks like he singles out you Catholics for the reason that he used to be one and Catholics are the largest of the Christian faiths and that he really hates Rick Santorum.
Just remember Matthew 5:11 and just ignore his type and go on.
And BTW, I'm glad to see you are still around even if not blogging.
DeleteNot Catholic either and must say that the article was vomit. Funny what things are acceptable.
ReplyDeleteI find the entire page full of things that if the words were switched to say blacks or Mexicans things would be very different.
Vomit. Vomit. Vomit. Seems like the plague of Double Standards strikes again. Things are only racist if the Left says so. Things are intolerant and hatecrime possibles, only if the Left says so once again.
Matt beat me to it. Matt. 5:11 is perfectly applicable here. Pay no attention to the dogs yapping around your ankles.
ReplyDelete+1 on both Matt and Humble's comments...
ReplyDeleteThanks all. I read it because of a news link about a letter of protest HuffPo has received because of it.
ReplyDeleteI think what really wears on me is the constant double standard we are surrounded with.
