One that I don't know about and who would be good enough to kick the bucket and leave me his fortune. Because I want a house on a cove on Lake Gaston in VA/NC and that's the only way I'll be able to afford it.
A friend has come into an largish inheritance, one which has allowed her to purchase her retirement home on the lake. For cash. +4000 sq ft of beautiful house on a quiet cove, with dock and boat house. And whippoorwills at night. I love whippoorwills. And I got to go down with her for a long weekend just past to alternate between sitting on the porch and dock and poke around antique stores for furnishings. Which was fun because we have a lot of the same tastes so things that I liked but had no use for got bought to put in the lake house - I knew they were going to a happy home. Unfortunately, I have no pics to share - camera problems. Fa.
But good news received on Saturday - dumb a$$ bike thief was popping wheelies on my daughter's bike just a few streets away when spotted by police. Bike is home, thief spent weekend in jail because he couldn't be arraigned until today. I don't know what the penalty for theft of $600 worth of bike is, but at least he got two days in jail out of it.
Looks like it depends if they there are priors, but he could get up to 5 years.

I suspect we'll have to be content with the two days in jail, but at least that's something.
DeleteGlad they caught him.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the rich uncle. I need one too:)
Unfortunately my daughter did a very thorough bit of genealogy research at one point and I think we're completely out of uncles.
DeleteThat's GOOD news! And second the rich uncle desire... sigh
ReplyDeleteCan we be adopted at our age?
