Gotta Get Several to Sell

No, no the information won't be abused.  Of course not.

Come next year's income tax time, we will be required to submit a form with our health insurance information on it along with the good ol' 1040.  We are assured that handing that information to the IRS does not violate HIPAA laws and will not be used for any improper purposes.

This just in - the IRS has already seized the medical records of 10,000,000 California residents:

According to a report by Courthousenews.com, an unnamed HIPAA-covered entity in California is suing the IRS, alleging that some 60 million medical records from 10 million patients were stolen by 15 IRS agents. The personal health information seized on March 11, 2011, included psychological counseling, gynecological counseling, sexual/drug treatment and other medical treatment data.
It ain't paranoia if they really ARE out to get you.  And I gotta got get me a whole supply of bridges to sell.

Full story here.

    1. I'm thinking that a lot of people need to get together and hire a constitutional lawyer before April 15 next year. Then every one of them return the form with "No" written across the front and no info on it.

  2. Excellent idea, but they'll just get the data illegally... Hell, they're hiring how many 'enforcement' agents???

    1. 16,000. But I figure it's worth creating aggravation. And a holding action as the legality gets fought out. But this slime needs to be constantly kept in the public eye.

  3. WTF does the IRS need with health insurance forms?!? They're there to ensure I'm not over-taxed (snort) and my checkbook is relatively balanced. My overall health is none of their business, and the only way my health relates to taxes involves the phrase "taxed to death". (sorry, not at home right now, so I can't really read the link)

    1. The whole thing is to get their fingers into our lives as deeply as possible, and Obamacare and its taxes are a major part of doing that.

    1. They'll get that through your doc, who they will pressure for things like that when they take your detailed health records.
