Because My Son-In-Law...

...thought to bungee cord his cell phone to the porch post.

  1. That was cool. You need to get a wasp trap, though.

I've often thought that people would really hate hummingbirds if they were blood-drinkers. Imagine one of them driving that pointed beak into your skin for a drink.

    1. Yes, I do need to get a trap. The problem just developed at the end of August - and of course now I'm sitting on the porch with pissy tempered yellow jackets.

I've often wondered if it would be worth the trouble to get one of those feeders. I don't even know if we have hummingbirds in Bama.

    1. You at least have ruby throats. The Mississippi is sort of the border - ruby throats to the east and others to the west but sometimes there are strays. Takes a little work - the sugar water needs to be changed every 3-4 days and the feeder rinsed. Not that I have to remember that because if I forget to take it in the raccoon empties it at night.

    2. Raccoon? The chipmunk would have a blast.

The last thing I need is a chipmunk fired up on sugar water.

    1. All those years of grumbling about not being able to get a good picture and he just whips out a bungee cord, ties his phone up there and videos for a while, then edits the video down.
