I Have a Hat

And I'm fond of it.

My hair is beginning to come back in, but it's going to be a while, and I've learned that being bald in the Winter is COLD.  

So I keep that hat at hand and wear it when appropriate, i.e., when it decides to be Winter.  I always know where my hat is.

But I don't know where THIS hat is:

The lieutenant governor of Virginia, Justin Fairfax, has been accused of rape.  The accuser has given a lot of detail.  A few minutes ago I heard that another woman has come forward with a second rape allegation.  But I haven't seen or heard hide nor hair from the p*ssy hat brigade about Fairfax.

But what's a couple rapes in the face of Trump saying "p*ssy" a decade ago?

Best Idea I've Heard in Ages

I've heard that TSA employees are sicking out - refusing to come to work without pay.  I've also heard that the numbers doing so have been exaggerated.  Whichever.  It doesn't really matter.

Because, as I heard someone point out this morning, we don't need them.  International airports are borders.  If we are going to have open borders, why do we need the TSA?  We should be removing security from our airports to allow free flow through them.

Oh, also heard that folks climbed over the wall at one of Nancy Pelosi's properties and demanded entry to the house.  AND WERE ESCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY.  But I thought walls are immoral and we should have open borders?

How come...

...when they are pushing gun laws it's "for the children" and "If it saves just one life..." but when it comes to illegal immigration, which has resulted in the loss of many lives, of many children, those same lives don't matter?

And how come when they talk about the furloughed federal workers who, they say, are suffering due to the partial shut down, they don't mention that federal employees will be made whole again after this but the people who have been killed by illegals will never again be going to work, hugging their children, having dinner with family or friends, loving a spouse?  That neither they nor the families they were taken from can EVER be made whole again?

Why Is It...?

...that no matter what night or where I serve my homeless shelter nights it's with people who don't believe in the welfare state?

Why is it that I never see the most vocal local liberals, those who most often declare their superiority to conservatives on social media, on the sign-up for the local homeless shelter or for providing meals to the residents thereof?

Why is it that the only people who will take back to back to back nights at the shelter and then get up and go to work in between are the same people that Cuomo and De Blasio have declared to be unwelcome in New York?

Why is it that so many racist homophobes who are waging a war on women are providing meals for our homeless, food for the community food pantry, clothing for the needy, diapers for baby bottoms, roofs for houses, wood for stoves, grocery cards for families, etc. regardless of race, color, creed, or any of the other things that the mavins of diversity insist we take into account? And why is it that those same racist homophobes who are waging a war on women never pay attention to all those things that the mavins of diversity insist they should?

Why is it that when I worked with setting up the Gabriel Project in Maryland, trying to provide financial and material support to women who don't want an abortion, our fiercest opponents were people who called themselves "pro-choice"?  Why did the pastors of churches who called themselves "pro-choice" refuse to participate?

Why is it that when I speak out against an organization that targets blacks for killing at a level that the KKK never dreamed of that I'm a racist and waging a war on women?

Why is it that my belief that black Americans are no more in need of the government to take care of them than they are of a good massa to do the same means I'm a racist to the nth degree?

Why is it that when I point out biological reality I'm declared to be waging a war on women or a homophobe by the same people who have declared that "the science is settled" on climate change?

Oh, wait.  Never mind. I know the answer to all that.
