Oh, by the way...

What got declared Constitutional today, in addition to the other immoralities in it, also includes eventually gathering all of our medical records into a central database.  Currently, the patient is considered the owner of their medical records, the doctor the custodian.   Let me see, who would I rather own my records, me or a bloated, inefficient bureaucracy?  Decisions, decisions.

  1. Once again, the gov't declares itself exempt: this time, from the privacy laws which every health care provider/worker must swear to uphold.

    1. Oh, but wait - if you want an abortion then the right to privacy exists in the Constitution for you.

  2. They said it will be centralized like the V.A.'s records. Don't worry about that then. They couldn't consolidate records if they were already stacked in one pile.

    1. Actually, my experience has been that government databases are amazingly good at scrambling data, not communicating, and loosing data.

    1. Yeah, we have to give some thought about how to prevent it. Most doctors have computer databases now. It would be easier if we could just demand to hold our own paper records.
